Welcome new Year 7 lockers! In Week 8, we were excited to finally install our new Year 7 lockers. The new lockers have opened the space around our ‘P portables’ to allow more room for students to access their lockers and mingle with their peers. The lockers are built from high quality plastic which will stand the test of time. The doors are in our school colours which adds vibrancy and a sense of pride to the area.
We are excited to announce that works will begin over the Term 2 holidays to construct a new passive garden and seating space in the north-western corner of the Quadrangle.
This project will increase seating capacity in the quadrangle, along with creating multiple new garden beds to promote greater greenery and biodiversity in the quadrangle. The project is expected to take six weeks to complete.
Beginning in Week 11, construction of ramp access into the Music and Performing Arts Centre will begin. The ramp will be constructed in the breezeway that connects the front of the school to the quadrangle. Works will continue to be closely monitored to ensure disruptions are kept to a minimum.
Over the Term 3 holidays, further Accessibility Building Works will continue:
Completion of ramp access to the Year 10 locker bay
DDA bathroom and change space
Ramp construction out of Level 2 that connects to the W portables
Work bench modification in Food Tech room 119 and Science room M1
Installation of a modified water bubbler in the Year 7 ‘P portables’ zone
Ramp construction works to the Hall.
