Year 12 Formal

by Ms Arabella Thompson, Year 12 Coordinator

The Year 12 Formal came at the perfect time for our Class of 2025, right in the middle of Term 2, when they needed a time to relax and enjoy themselves. There were over 220 students who attended the Formal, as well as over 30 staff members who wanted to celebrate the night with this incredible group of students.

Throughout the night, we ate great food, celebrated students’ individuality with many awards, heard speeches from our School Captains and danced the night away. A highlight of the night, was watching a video that the students had made, interviewing all Year 12 students. The students will hold this memory close to their hearts, and it will help them get through those tough times in Year 12!

How our School Captains found the night:

The Year 12 Formal was certainly a night to remember! It was wonderful seeing everyone dressed up and getting involved on the dance floor, making memories and enjoying the event! I think everyone would agree it is just what we needed in the chaos of year 12, and the perfect way to celebrate that we're halfway there! We thank everyone who worked so hard to make Formal what it was, and thank every teacher and student who attended for bringing the vibes!

Our Year 12 Formal was a very unforgettable and enjoyable night. It was so nice to see everyone dressed up as we celebrate our final year together. A highlight was definitely watching the formal video, as well as seeing both our cohort and teachers having fun on the dance floor! Also a huge thank you to the formal committee and venue staff for making the night so special!

Our year 12 formal was full of laughter, excitement and happiness. It was great to see almost everyone in the grade turn up looking amazing and ready for the night ahead. A highlight for many was seeing the teachers get up to dance, along with the photo booth where lots of us took fun pictures. The staff and formal committee put on a show for all of us to remember and cherish!

The Prefects have also been working hard to bring our cohort together throughout these colder months, such as movies at lunchtime in the Common Room and hot chocolate station before the GAT to help warm them up and keep them motivated!
