Royal Children's Hospital 'Fly for the Kids'

The Year 12 Prefect team, led by Marcus S (BHHS Vice-Captain), is hosting a fundraiser for ‘Fly for the Kids’, a branch of the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation.

Fly for the Kids is a campaign championed by Associate Professor Andrew Kornberg, Senior Neurologist at the RCH. He will be flying solo for over 50 hours and covering 27,000 kilometres. Andrew’s adventure will include stopping off to visit RCH patients across the country as he navigates Australia flying a plane – solo - taking off on Wednesday 2 July 2025!

This foundation is special as many of our students have been supported in and out of the RCH and our prefect team would like to do what they can to give back to this important cause.

Box Hill High School’s Fundraising Goal: $2,500

Fly for the Kids at Box Hill – last day of term – Friday 4 July.

  • Students are encouraged to wear pyjamas for a gold coin donation!

  • There will be a bake sale at lunchtime – come and purchase children’s party-themed goodies

The money goes to several children in need who have “neuromuscular disease,” which affects 1 in every 1,000 Aussie Children.
