Student leaders update

Box Hill High School hosted the inaugural Year 12 Leaders Student Voice Forum earlier this term.  We had approximately 50 Year 12 leaders network and collaborate from Balwyn High School, East Doncaster Secondary College, Koonung Secondary College and Box Hill Senior Secondary College.  

The theme of the afternoon was 'Community & Connection' and it was inspiring to hear the ideas and conversations being shared around: 

• How we celebrate diversity and promote inclusion at our schools? 
• How we promote school spirit and a sense of community within our schools?
• How change can be driven by student leaders 

We were fortunate to have Richard Welch, our Liberal Member for the North-east Metropolitan Region, join us. Richard spoke about his experiences in leadership within businesses and shared advice on how to work within effective teams.
