SRC update

Term 2 is always super busy for the SRC. We had success running our two largest fundraisers of the year, selling Simpsons-themed refreshments at the school production and hosting our annual sausage sizzle at the Athletics carnival.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased from us. All funds are used for SRC projects and charities throughout the year, such as sponsoring our World Vision student, Narim, in Cambodia.
Speaking of fundraising, have you ever been disappointed when you get to the front of the line for an SRC stall and we tell you we don’t take card? In our new initiative we’ve been working on this year, the SRC is proposing to allow student use of an eftpos machine, so you can use cashless payment to get your sausage, drink, or sweet treat. We aim to present a proposal to School Council next semester.
The Garden Team has continued upkeep on the Yarning Circle, installing a trellis and new climber plants this term - this is yet another improvement to our green spaces in the school. On top of this, we are continuing to develop a plan for the installation of new water fountains so that students always have easy access to fresh, free water.
The SRC Quiet Study Room initiative has continued to run with success this year and we’d like to thank all the supervising teachers who give up their lunch times to help make this possible – Ms Catsamas, Ms Moshman, Mr Bushby, Ms Huang, Ms Akeroyd, and Ms Weyenberg.
See you next term!
