Year 10 Student Achievements 

Hello from Year 10!   We have had a cracking Term 2.  There is plenty happening and much to be celebrated, and on that note, I would like to bring attention to some of our Year 10 students and their recent achievements both in the academic world and extra-curricular!

Nate T - 

Nate is a member of the Whitehorse Brass Band which recently won the 2023 Bendigo Competitions Society Eisteddfod Open C Grade Brass Band competition.  This is an adult band Nate has been playing in for 6 years.  He plays 3rd cornet. Congratulations Nate!

Hai Sheng H - 

Hai recently completed his assessment of teaching competency at Surrey Park Swimming, meaning he can begin instructing students in the pool. 

Daniel C - 

Along with Hai, Daniel also completed his assessment of teaching competency at Surrey Park Swimming.  Daniel has had a successful time of late as well by taking out his Baseball club’s Senior Batting Average award.

Paul S - 

Paul was recently selected to represent Australia in the 2023 PONY LEAGUE ASIA PACIFIC ZONE TOURNAMENT for Baseball.  The tournament will be held in Japan in week 9 of this Term.  The Australian team is playing against Asian Pacific teams including Japan and South Korea.  The team leaves Australia on Thursday 15th June and returns on Tuesday 27 June.  Away from Baseball, the team will have the opportunity to experience a tour by Bullet Train and spend some time in Tokyo to take in the sights and sounds of Japan.  We wish you all the best Paul!

Taj F & Elliot G - 

Taj and Elliot have been awarded the PASCH Scholarship from the Goethe-Institute.  Part of this meant completing the A1 exam for certification in language skills.  The scholarship allows the two boys to go to Germany for 3 weeks, from the 25th of June to the 15th of July. The boys were awarded this near the start of the school year, and we are extremely excited for them and the opportunity they have been given.  We hope you both have a wonderful time in Germany and make the most of your experiences!

Ara C & Tim B - 

Ara and Tim both made the VIC METRO TEAM for Soccer.  Recently they have played in a match against Melbourne City FC at Casey Fields.  The boys' team did not come out on top however represented state metro well and have another match coming up soon.  Good luck boys and we hope you get the points in your next match!

Naisha B - 

Naisha recently competed at the 2023 Taekwondo Gold Coast Open where she achieved 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.  Naisha then competed in the 2023 Victorian Taekwondo Sparring Championships where she was again successful bringing home a gold medal. We are so proud of your accomplishments and dedication to your sport Naisha!
