Junior School Update
The past term has been filled with exciting events and valuable learning experiences for our Junior School students.
Year 8 Camp: A Journey of Gratitude
In week 5, our Year 8 students embarked on an unforgettable journey to The Summit in Trafalgar East for their annual camp. Our year level theme is 'gratitude,' and it was heartening to witness our students embrace the spirit of gratitude throughout the camp. They ventured out of their comfort zones, engaging in various team-building activities, and displaying remarkable resilience and cooperation. One of the highlights was the exhilarating mud run, where our students fearlessly embraced the challenge and emerged triumphant. We commend our Year 8 students for their outstanding participation and their embodiment of the qualities we strive to cultivate in our students.
'Cleaning Up for a Sweet Reward'
We are delighted to share the success of Ms. Maxwell's innovative initiative titled 'doughnut day,' aimed at promoting cleanliness and organization in the locker bay. Students enthusiastically participated in this effort, taking pride in maintaining a tidy environment for everyone. Their dedication and cooperation were rewarded with a well-deserved treat. We extend our appreciation to Ms. Maxwell for her creative approach to instilling the value of cleanliness among our students.
Celebrating Athletic Excellence
Athletics Day showcased the exceptional athletic prowess of our Year 7 and 8 students. We were thrilled to witness our young athletes' enthusiasm and competitive spirit as they participated in various track and field events. Every student who took part deserves recognition for their dedication and commitment to representing our school. We are immensely proud of our Junior School athletes and their remarkable achievements.
Important Reminders
As we continue to strive for excellence, it is essential to reinforce some key reminders for our Junior School students:
Punctuality: Being on time for class is crucial for a productive learning environment. We kindly request parents and guardians to encourage their children to arrive at school promptly.
Late and Uniform Passes: Students must ensure they have a valid late or uniform pass if they arrive late or are not in complete uniform. These passes can be obtained from Kiran at the front office.
Charged Laptops: In our digital age, a charged laptop is an essential tool for learning. We kindly remind students to bring their laptops to school fully charged every day, enabling them to make the most of their educational experience.
Caring and Considerate Individuals: Let us all work together to foster a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy within our school community. We encourage all students to be mindful of their words and actions and to treat others with kindness and consideration.
We would like to express our gratitude to our dedicated teachers, staff, and parents for their unwavering support and involvement in our student’s educational journey.
