Market Day Stall

On the 12th of May, students currently completing Unit 1 Business Management ran their Mother’s Day market stall to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House.

In preparation for this event, students worked collaboratively to produce a comprehensive business plan including a mission statement, a marketing plan, an operational plan, a financial plan and a SWOT analysis.  The task was centred around their business profit to donate to charity and to provide products to Box Hill High School students to either enjoy themselves or as gifts for their very deserving mothers and caregivers for Mother’s Day.

A sunny day teamed with the dedication and efforts of all students culminated in a very successful day with many happy customers.  All stalls sold out of their products and many stall owners felt a sense of achievement.

Due to the planning and execution of each market stall, collectively Unit 1 Business Management students raised over $1,100 for the Ronald McDonald House charities.

Thank you to all the staff that mentored each group and all staff and students that supported these hardworking ‘entrepreneurs’ to donate such a generous amount.
