Subject Selection
It's that time of the year again - subject selection!
Subject selection is a crucial phase for all students as they gather the necessary information to begin discussions about their academic pathways. To help you stay informed and organised, here's a summary of key dates and events to note:
Term 2, Week 9:
Subject Handbooks will be released, providing you and your family with an opportunity to review and create a shortlist of subjects for consideration in Term 3. The handbook will include a blurb for each subject.

Term 3, Week 1:
Join us for the Subject Selection Information Evening on WebEx, Thursday 13th July.

During these sessions, a member of the leadership team will guide you through the entire subject selection process. They will cover important aspects such as navigating our subject selection program, deadlines, and key considerations for making informed decisions.
Term 3, Week 2-6:
Year 10 and 11 families, don't miss the annual Senior Expo! Join us on Wednesday, July 19th, starting at 5pm. This event will take place onsite and is specifically designed for students in VCE. It offers an opportunity to ask teachers questions about subjects of interest before the course advising sessions.
Students entering Year 10, Year 11, and Year 12 will attend course advising sessions in week 5 and 6 of Term 3. Course advisors assist students to make choices about their subjects, considering their own interests, possible pathways, and how to experience a range of subjects and learning areas during their time at Box Hill High School.
We will provide further details and information early next term. Our aim is to ensure that this information serves as a valuable guide to help everyone navigate through this important process successfully.
