SRC

Student Voice

This term the SRC are working harder than ever before, with each of the three project teams, putting in time and effort to get their end goal. This term may be over, but we have just begun.  This is what the S.R.C has been working on this term:

The Garden Team: This year, the School Garden Team has worked on measuring the garden, as well as looking after the area through weeding and watering.  We are now using our measurements to create a clear design for the garden moving forward and will have a plan by the end of the term. - Milly  (Garden Team Member)

The Fundraising Team: This term, the Fundraising Team hosted the Production Stall, selling delicious treats and drinks for audience members at intermission. For the first time this year, the Production Stall funds were shared between the SRC and Production Team to support future performances at Box Hill High. We also had huge success with our Athletics Carnival barbeque!  After selling out of sausages before noon – and getting more for the hungry crowd – we raised a total of $1,058.70. All money raised from this event contributes towards our SRC projects. We would like to thank everyone who has purchased from us, we really appreciate your support.

The Podcast Team: We are currently testing equipment and inviting staff and students to interviews for our podcast, ‘In the Box,’ which we hope to release next term.  There are two segments in each episode and anyone can have a segment as long as it's school appropriate.  If you’d like to feature on a future episode, get in touch with us!  You can speak with one of your friendly SRC representatives, or contact our staff coordinator, Ms Weyenberg.

The School Values Team: The School Values Team aims to foster resilience, creativity, respect, and growth in students by improving their wellbeing, education, and agency. We have researched and surveyed students to include brain breaks and teaching tools that will help learning and engagement, and have more projects on the way.
