Year 11 Student Achievements

Skills Booster Program (weeks 2-5 of this Term 2).

In this program we had expert teachers help the students with their study skills in preparation for exams and VCE – focusing on goal setting, time management, revision techniques and how to put these skills in place to use! The students thrived in this environment and were able to apply their knowledge and past understanding to these sessions.

Year 11 Leaders and students celebrated IDAHOBIT Day:

The Year 11 Leaders ran a fund-raising stall for our annual IDAHOBIT celebration. A portion of the proceeds went towards Minus18, a charity that helps LGBT youth in Australia, and the rest is dedicated to our year level events, improvements, etc.

Year 11 Vocational Major students organised their own excursion to Bounce.

Students have been studying Community health and Wellbeing throughout this Area of Study. They have been exploring the concepts health and wellbeing and factors that contribute to individual and community wellbeing.  The class researched and presented a range of group activities that could improve health and wellbeing (physical, emotional, social, mental, spiritual). After students presented their ideas and reviewed location, cost and impact on health and wellbeing, they decided on participating in an activity at BOUNCE Inc. at Blackburn North.

Year 11 students representing Box Hill High School in Model UN:  Nelini G and Eshani A will be competing in the Model United Nations competition for 2023.  Box Hill has had a fantastic history in this competition, winning the national title twice, we cannot wait to hear about their success story!
