Year 10 Program

As we approach the end of Term 2, it's time to reflect on the wonderful experiences and valuable lessons our Year 10 students have had throughout this term.  They have been actively engaged in a variety of activities aimed at enhancing their personal and academic growth.  Here is a summary of their achievements:

• Preparing for Community Service Day: Our Year 10 students have demonstrated a commendable commitment to serving their community.  At the beginning of this term, they spent some time preparing for the upcoming Community Service Day, which will take place during the last week of term.  Under the guidance of their teachers, they have brainstormed and organized various projects to make a positive impact in our local community. We are excited to witness their dedication in action as they contribute their time and effort towards making a difference.
• Careers Session - Work Experience Workshop: Understanding the importance of career exploration, our Year 10 students participated in a highly informative careers session this term.  The workshop focused on work experience, providing valuable insights into various industries, professions, and the skills required for success in the workforce. This session has undoubtedly broadened their horizons and encouraged them to start planning for their future endeavours.
• Sessions with Elevate Education: To equip our students with the necessary study skills and time management techniques, we invited external presenters from Elevate Education for two engaging sessions this term.  The first session, Study Sensei, aimed to enhance their study habits, note-taking skills, and effective learning strategies. The second session focused on Time Management, equipping our students with the tools to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.  These sessions were specifically designed to support our students in their preparation for the upcoming exams and empower them with lifelong skills to excel academically.

As we conclude Term 2, we are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by our Year 10 students.  Their active participation in community service, career exploration, and academic development showcases their commitment to personal growth and excellence.  We would like to express our appreciation to the teachers, external presenters, and all those who have contributed to the success of these programs.

We wish all our Year 10 students the best of luck in their upcoming exams and hope that the skills and knowledge gained throughout this term will serve as a solid foundation for their future endeavours.
