YEAR 10 - 2025

The Year 10 students have shown terrific grit and determination this year. It has been a busy year with many subject-level events such as the Cows in Schools Program, a trip to GTAC, and a visit to the Vietnam Veteran’s Museum to promote rich understanding of content knowledge. A focus this year was on Road Safety with a trip to the Melbourne Museum for the Road to Zero program, as well as the local road safety program provided by RYDA. Many students also spent time refining their ski skills at Bogong Ski Camp and learning valuable team-building lessons. Work Experience was an overwhelming success, where students observed and gained valuable insights into industry. Many students had the opportunity to work on leadership skills through workshops such as the GRIP Conference and working with the SRC. Students attended GTS for the 'How To Make A Difference' program, where they used the Design Thinking process to meet a user's need. The program involved identifying a problem for a classmate, moving through the empathy, define, ideation, prototype, and testing stages of Design Thinking, and pitching their idea to the group—which the Year 10 students handled exceptionally well. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the tremendous amount of growth by all Year 10 students this year, and I look forward to continuing to coordinate them in 2026 as they start their final two years of schooling.
