KORUMBURRA SECONDARY COLLEGE 2025 SWIMMING CARNIVAL SPLASH!
The 2025 Korumburra Secondary College Sports calendar kicked off with a splash on Tuesday, 11th February, as students, staff, and community members gathered for the annual Inter House Swimming Carnival.
After McDonald’s clean sweep in 2024, Howitt, Whitelaw, and Strzelecki brought their best to challenge the champions. The day began with a fun water aerobics warm-up led by Ms Reymers, getting everyone ready to compete.
The swimming events — Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly — saw strong competition across all age groups, highlighted by Brooklyn Packer from Whitelaw setting a new Backstroke record for under 12-13s.
Novelty events, including tube rescues and aqua volleyball, provided fun breaks led by Mr Ellison. The day ended with fierce relays and a staff versus students race, where teachers took the win for 2025.
McDonald House once again claimed the Champion trophies for Female, Male, and Overall categories, showing their pool dominance. Congratulations to all competitors and Age Group Champions for their fantastic efforts!

SOUTH GIPPSLAND INTERSCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2025
On Thursday, March 6th, a dedicated team of 17 students proudly represented Korumburra Secondary College at the South Gippsland Interschool Swimming Carnival.
Competing against strong talent from across the region, our students showed great spirit, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Highlights included our Year 9 and 10 students forming mixed relay teams, a brave Year 7 student taking on the Open 200m Freestyle, and several students stepping up for extra events to help the team.
A special congratulations to Brooklyn Packer, runner-up Age Champion in the Under 13 Girls category. Korumburra SC finished a respectable 5th overall — a fantastic effort!
Well done to all competitors for your commitment, courage, and enthusiasm in the pool. You made our school proud!
Congratulations to Brooklyn Packer who qualified for Regional Swimming.
