DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD

DUKE OF EDINBURGH
There have been 8 students working to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Award this year.
Natalie, Phoebe, Chloe and Issy have all been working towards, or have achieved their Silver Award. Jess, Will and Alana have been working towards or have achieved their Bronze Award.
The students have been setting goals and participating in activities for each section of the Award. These include;
Physical Activity: swimming, walking, martial arts
Community Service: Meals on Wheels, visiting Carinya Lodge and supporting students at school with various programs
Skill: playing musical instruments, learning a language and cooking
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an International Youth Leadership Award presented to students who consistently contribute across the three areas, and who also complete an Adventurous Journey. Students aged 15 years and older around the world participate in the Award to develop their skills in persistence, resilience and goal setting. There are three levels of the award that are ranked according to the time commitment required to complete them, with Gold the highest achievement. We will all be supporting Phoebe as she tackles her Gold Award in 2026.
If you are interested in learning more or participating in the Award in 2026, please see Ms Creaser to sign up.
