Year 9 Report 

It has been great to see everyone returning excited for the year to come. Year 9 will be a big year with lots of great opportunities and new subjects and electives to get stuck into. I am especially excited to hear the great things the Outdoor Education elective are getting up to, and how excited some students are for this elective! 

In week 3, students braved the cold start at Swimming Carnival and warmed up when the sun came out. I loved seeing all the Year 9s cheering on their houses and those participating in the different events.  

Also in week 3, Year 9 Students participated in a Digital Discernment workshop facilitated by Optus. This was a continuation from a Digital Thumbprint workshop they did in the previous year.  

Students will be completing their final NAPLAN in a couple of weeks. During out most recent assembly, I encouraged all students to give it their best shot. Ensure they are well rested, have eaten plenty of breakfast (or visit our schools breakfast club), and drink plenty of water in preparation for NAPLAN.
