Student Advocacy and Mental Health Services Report

Saskia Boersma

Welcome to 2026 from the SAMHS Team

Welcome back to a new school year. The Student Advocacy and Mental Health Services (SAMHS) team is here to support students and families with wellbeing, connection and mental health across the year.

We work alongside students to help with:

  • Minor to Mild Mental Health/Wellbeing Concerns
  • Navigating friendships, stress and school challenges
  • Building confidence and resilience
  • Mental health support and early intervention
  • Connecting families with the right supports
  • Small Groupwork and larger events.

Whether a student needs someone to talk to, help problem-solving, or support getting back on track, we’re here to help!

How to access support at school

Students and families can speak with their Home Group Teacher or Year Level Leader, who will connect them with the SAMHS team.

Reaching out early makes a big difference. If you’re unsure where to start, we’re here to help guide students and families to the right supports, both in school and in the community.

We’re looking forward to supporting our school community in 2026.
