Learning Support Report

Growing Something Special

There’s a real buzz around Learning Support at the moment, and a big part of that is thanks to our new Gardening Program with Clare. Students have absolutely loved the energy she brings and the fresh, innovative ideas she’s implementing. It’s been wonderful to see students so engaged, hands-on, and genuinely excited to be involved.

Our gardens are getting a serious glow-up! Students have been sprucing up garden beds, planning improvements, and even researching the materials they’ll need across the term. They’re learning how to budget, problem-solve, and think ahead — all while getting their hands dirty. One of the standout achievements so far has been the creation of our very own worm farm, which is already going great guns! Students are proudly monitoring it and learning about sustainability, composting, and how small actions can make a big environmental impact.

It’s been fantastic to watch students build confidence, teamwork skills, and responsibility through such practical learning. We’re so proud of the ownership they’re taking and can’t wait to see how the garden continues to grow — in more ways than one!
