Pathways & Careers Report
Shannon O'Shea
I am really excited to have joined the Woodmans Hill Secondary College Careers & Pathways team this year as the Careers Leader.
As a career practitioner, I aim to support others’ wellbeing and career development by helping them to understand their needs and to set and achieve goals that result in decent work and life satisfaction. I am passionate about driving vocational learning opportunities that prepare our students for their futures and empower them to take responsibility for making career decisions.
At Woodmans Hill Secondary College, we are committed to providing meaningful careers education and support to our students. We want to see all students build confidence, skills and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future pathways. In this ever-changing world, part of this involves having the skills to cope with barriers/hurdles and to see these as learning opportunities.
We are thrilled to be planning and creating some fantastic careers experiences and opportunities for students across all year levels. Please keep an eye out in upcoming newsletters (and Compass Newsfeed) for further information about Careers and Pathways events.
Inspirational quote of the week:
“Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy”.
