Junior School  Report

Jocelyn Gepp

What a fantastic start we have had to the school year! It has been wonderful to see our Junior School students return with such positive energy and enthusiasm. Classrooms have been buzzing, routines have been established quickly, and students are already showing a strong commitment to their learning.

A special welcome to our Year 7 students, who have transitioned beautifully into secondary school life. We are especially excited about our new Year 7 Centre, which has provided a dedicated and supportive space for our newest students. The centre has created a real sense of belonging and community, and it has been wonderful to see how confidently our Year 7s have settled into the space. They have embraced the new environment, built positive connections, and navigated their first weeks of secondary school with maturity and resilience. We are incredibly proud of how smoothly they have transitioned.

The term has already been packed full of exciting events and opportunities for our Junior School students.

Our Year 8 and Year 9 students participated in Digital Thumbprint sessions, which focused on responsible online behaviour, digital safety, and understanding the impact of their digital footprint. These sessions provided valuable learning and important conversations about navigating the online world safely and respectfully.

We also held our whole-school Swimming Sports, which was a fantastic day filled with house spirit, participation, and encouragement. It was great to see so many students getting involved—whether in competitive events or novelty activities—and cheering each other on throughout the day.

Another highlight was our Leadership Badge Ceremony, where we formally recognised our Junior Leaders. This ceremony celebrated the students who have stepped into leadership roles and acknowledged their commitment to contributing positively to our school community. We look forward to seeing the leadership, initiative, and school pride they will demonstrate throughout the year.

It has been a wonderful and productive start to 2026, and I’m really looking forward to all that the remainder of the term has in store.
