VCE Voccational Major Report
Trish Fox
A big welcome back to all our returning families for 2026, and a special welcome to the new families joining us at Woodmans Hill Secondary College this year.
My name is Mrs. Fox (Trish), and I am delighted to be stepping into the role of VCE Vocational Major Leader. I am passionate about supporting our young people to thrive, and I look forward to building on the strong foundations already established within our VCE VM program.
My focus for 2026 is to continue strengthening the program, ensuring that every student feels supported, challenged, and capable of achieving success within their chosen pathway. Together, we will work towards meaningful goals, real-world experiences, and positive post-school outcomes.
There has already been so much happening in the first few weeks of term. It has been wonderful to see students settling into their classes so positively and establishing strong routines for the year ahead.
There has also been great excitement as students begin their VET courses, with some heading off campus one day each week to engage in hands-on learning within their chosen industry areas. These opportunities are such an important part of the VCE Vocational Major, allowing students to build practical skills, industry knowledge and confidence in real-world settings.
We are very proud of the mature and responsible way students have embraced these opportunities, and we look forward to seeing their skills and independence continue to grow throughout the year.
I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to working in partnership with our students, families and community to make 2026 a successful and rewarding year for all.
