News from School Council
The School Council met for the final time during 2024, on 27 November. Discussion items included:
The School Performance Report from the Department of Education showed BHHS has achieved a "High" rating (the highest level) across both learning and wellbeing measures compared to the rest of the state and similar schools.
Evaluation of Council performance and activity during 2024 and consideration of ways to improve in coming years.
Leadership team and teaching staff have been reviewing school goals and key improvement strategies as part of the development of the 2025 Annual Implementation Plan.
Student achievements were noted and celebrated by Council.
Several programs and activities focusing on wellbeing and engagement have taken place during Term 4 and were well received by the school community.
Student free days for 2025 were approved by School Council for the following dates:
