First aid reminders for the new year

Merry Christmas! Here we are at the end of the school year. I would like to thank all staff, students, and the school community for a wonderful year. As the year ends, planning for next year begins!
For students who have EpiPens, Ventolin and medications stored in First Aid and would like to take their medication home for the holidays, they can be collected at the Front Office until 19 December.
Students who have current medication administration permission forms, these will expire at the end of Term 4. Permission forms for 2025 will be sent home this week to students who currently have medication stored in First Aid and can be completed and returned at your earliest convenience.
Anaphylaxis and Asthma Action Plans need to be updated each year so that we have current information on your child’s records. If your child’s plan needs to be updated, I will send one home to be completed by your GP.
I will also let you know if any medications or Ventolin Puffers that I have in Sick Bay are due to expire so that you can replace them.
Allergy Action Plans need to be updated if there are any changes to your child’s allergies. It’s a great idea to obtain a new Action Plan for Allergic Reactions (the green one) when you visit your child’s allergy specialist and bring it to school to keep the information on record up to date.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I look forward to seeing you all in 2025.
