VM News

Ms. Jessica Rennick

This term has been a busy and exciting one for our VM students. Students have been working hard to develop their skills and independence, achieving important milestones such as completing their White Card and First Aid certificate. These qualifications are valuable steps toward future employment pathways and workplace readiness.

Our students have also been applying themselves in their TAFE programs, demonstrating commitment and growth as they build practical skills for their future careers. In addition, they have been preparing for their upcoming Work Related Skills expos where they will showcase their learning, teamwork, and industry knowledge.

Our students have also had the opportunity to engage in a variety of enriching experiences beyond the classroom. The Wellbeing Expo provided valuable information and support around health and wellbeing, while a range of excursions offered both educational and social opportunities. Highlights included the Grand Prix, Numeracy excursion to Car City, Literacy excursion to the cinemas, and PDS excursions such as the escape room challenge and Box Hill TAFE, where students gained insight into further education and training pathways.

It has been fantastic to see students step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and strengthen their teamwork skills throughout the term. We look forward to continuing this momentum in the next term.
