Year 10 Report

Keele Hillas

What a fantastic start our Year 10 students have made to the 2026 school year. It has been wonderful to see the positive energy across classes, strong engagement in learning, and the way students are demonstrating our school values in their daily interactions. This cohort has set a great tone for the year ahead and should feel proud of the way they have settled into their studies and school life.

Earlier this term, we had the opportunity to take20 Year 10 students from Woodmans Hill Secondary College to join 180 other year 10 students from across other Ballarat high schools to the Fuel Leadership Summit at Civic Hall in Ballarat. This was an inspiring experience that focused on building confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership capacity. Students represented our school exceptionally well and returned with new ideas about how they can contribute positively to our school and wider community. We look forward to seeing these leadership skills continue to grow throughout the year.

Looking ahead, Work Experience will take place from June 15–19. This is an important opportunity for students to explore future pathways, develop workplace skills and build independence. Students are reminded that placements need to be organised and confirmed by the end of this term. Families can support by encouraging students to make contact with potential employers early and ensure all required paperwork is completed on time. If you need support with this please make contact with our Careers and Pathways team.

As we move into the term break, we would like to take a moment to thank families for their ongoing support and partnership. We wish all Year 10 students and their families a safe and happy Easter and look forward to another exciting term of learning, growth and opportunities ahead.

End of Term 1: Thursday 2nd April 2026 - 2:30pm.
