Year 9 Report
Cameron Robinson
It’s been a big start to the school year for our Year 9 students. Most recently, our Year 9's completed two massive weeks of NAPLAN testing. This involved completing the writing, reading, language conventions and numeracy tests. It was great to see students jump in and give it their best effort and the resilience they demonstrated in adapting to changes during this time.
Our Year 9 students have represented their cohort well this term, jumping into events in the Swimming Carnival and Athletics Day to support their House teams.
On Wednesday the 18th of March, we were delighted to see some of our Year 9 students remain on site after hours to contribute to our schools Open Night. Congratulations to those in the school band who provided musical entertainment for the evening!
Congratulations to our Student of the Week winners for Week 6 and 8:
Week 6:
Max (9A), Sean (9B), Rueben (9C), Eliza (9D), Jordan (9E) and Philip (9F)
Week 8:
Seth (9A), Zara (9B), Amber (9C), Noah (9D), Levi (9E) and Zaura-Jean (9F)
A friendly reminder that students should ensure their phones are silent and invisible during school hours.
Upcoming events: Next term will kick off with the Year 9 Wellbeing Day which will see students work with their choice of the Man Cave, Flourish Girls or the Rainbow Group.
The next day, students will attend Melbourne Cable Park to make use of the Aqua Park and High Ropes course. Information has been sent home for these activities. Students can collect another note from the Junior School if required.
Well done Year 9 on a successful Term 1!
End of Term 1: Thursday 2nd April 2026 - 2:30pm.
