Year 12 Report
Claire Blower
It has been a fantastic start to the year, and I have been incredibly proud of the way our Year 12 students have stepped into their final year of schooling. They have approached Term 1 with maturity, commitment and a willingness to embrace both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with being the Senior Leaders of our College.
A highlight of the term was our Badge Ceremony, where we officially recognised our Year 12 cohort alongside our 2026 Student Leaders. This was a really special moment to celebrate an important milestone, as our students formally took on their role as Leaders within our school community. It was wonderful to see so many students step forward with confidence and pride.

We have also marked the end of an era, with our last ever Athletics Carnival and Swimming Carnival. These events were filled with energy, participation and plenty of school spirit, and it was great to see our Year 12 students leading the way, getting involved, encouraging others and making the most of these memorable final experiences.

Our Year 12's have also played a key role in supporting our newest students through the Year 7 and 12 Buddy Program. It has been fantastic to see the positive relationships forming, with our Seniors taking the time to connect with and support their Year 7 buddies as they settle into secondary school life. This program has already proven to be a valuable part of building a strong and connected school community.
In between the craziness that is Term 1, we have also had our Last PE Lesson, we have our first Dress Up Day next week and also our Wellbeing Excursion to the Wildlife Park!

Student Shout Outs:
Jethro, Eliza, Reuben and Toby: Thanks for your excellent work preparing for and running our food stall during the open night on Wednesday night, your enthusiasm and welcoming attitudes were a great representation of Woodmans Hill Secondary College. (Ms Flood)
Niamh and Hannah: For being consistent in completing their Psychology homework every week. Keep up the great work! (Ms Hollands)
Joel and Ruby: Well done Joel and Ruby on taking the initiative to create and present a proposal to School Council. The effort you have managed to put into this between Leadership roles, SAC's, part time work and everyday life has been truly amazing. (Miss B)
Overall, Term 1 has set a really positive tone for the year ahead. I look forward to continuing to support our students as they navigate the challenges and celebrate the successes that come with their final year.
End of Term 1: Thursday 2nd April 2026 - 2:30pm.
