VCE Voccational Major Report

Welcome to the end of Term 1. It’s hard to believe how quickly the term has flown by, with so much already happening for our VCE VM students.
It has been a busy and productive start to the year, with students engaging positively in their classes, settling into their routines, and making the most of the opportunities available to them. From classroom learning to VET courses both internal and external to the school, and developing key skills for their future pathways, it has been fantastic to see their growth and commitment.
One of the standout achievements for our VCE VM students this term has been their commitment to the weekly hike training challenge. This training is all part of their preparation for the Hike Challenge excursion, where students will take on the journey all the way to Creswick.
Throughout the program, VCE VM teachers have been supporting students to track and record their training statistics, which will contribute to their portfolios completed at the conclusion of the excursion. It has been fantastic to see students taking ownership of their progress and building both their physical endurance and resilience.
Students are returning from each session buzzing with adrenaline, while also feeling the physical challenge of their efforts. Most importantly, they are embracing the experience, supporting one another, and genuinely enjoying the journey towards this significant achievement.
On top of this, our VCE VM students, with the support and guidance of their teachers, baked a range of delicious treats for our recent Information Night. These were enjoyed by our visiting guests and were a wonderful showcase of the students’ skills, teamwork, and pride in their work.
A huge credit goes to our dedicated staff, who continue to create engaging and positive learning experiences for our VM students. Their commitment and support play a vital role in ensuring students feel successful, valued, and connected to their learning.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students have approached the term and look forward to building on this strong start as we move into Term 2.
