Year 8 Report

Josh Wells

What a busy period for our students, who continue to demonstrate a strong commitment to their learning. Across all subjects, students have been working diligently, showing resilience and a positive attitude in the classroom. It has been wonderful to see so many students challenging themselves, supporting their peers, and taking pride in their work.

Each day, a number of our Year 8's are participating in a range of clubs at school. From tabletop games to performing arts, right back to sports, it has been positive to see so many students have a go. On top of that, our students have been training for Term 2 sports, with a number of Year 8's preparing for Netball.

A highlight of the term has been our recent Athletics Carnival. The day was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and outstanding sportsmanship. Students participated in a wide range of events like High Jump, the 400m, the 100m and Shot Put, cheering each other on and representing their houses with pride. It was great to see both competitive spirit and encouragement on display, making the day enjoyable for everyone involved.

As we approach the end of term, we would like to acknowledge the consistent effort shown by our Year 8 cohort. Their hard work and dedication have set a strong foundation for continued success throughout the year. It is really important for us as a school to acknowledge the efforts of our students and their ability to move through all new content.

We also look forward to the upcoming Easter break, which provides a well-deserved opportunity for students to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. We encourage all students to take this time to relax and return ready for another productive term.

Thank you to our students and families for your ongoing support.

End of Term 1: Thursday 2nd April 2026 - 2:30pm.
