Swinburne Uni Visit
Year 10
In case you missed it...
Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed an exciting and immersive day at Swinburne University’s Hawthorn campus, where they were given a real taste of campus life and future study options.
The day was packed with hands-on experiences, allowing students to explore both Higher Education and TAFE pathways. While students selected two preferred workshops, many were fortunate enough to take part in three sessions, making the most of everything on offer!
Workshops covered a wide range of interest areas, including the wonders of space in the Astro Tour, the thrills of Aviation, creative innovation in Design, problem-solving in Engineering, behind-the-scenes insights in Film & TV, exploring the courtroom in Law, and learning about health and wellbeing in Allied Health.

The interactive nature of the sessions gave students the chance to try new things, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of different industries and career pathways. For many, it was an eye-opening experience that helped bring their future possibilities to life.
One student shared: “It was really cool to actually try things instead of just hearing about them. I didn’t think I’d be interested in engineering, but now I’m definitely considering it!”
After speaking with Swinburne Art students, Holly was inspired to create this digital art image:

Overall, the excursion was a fantastic opportunity for students to step into a university environment, challenge themselves, and start thinking more confidently about their future pathways.
We look forward to continuing to support our students as they explore their interests and make informed decisions about their education and careers.
