Mental Health Awareness

On Thursday, 23rd May, our VCE Vocational Major (VM) students took action for a worthy cause, hosting a sausage sizzle fundraiser to support and raise awareness for men’s mental health.

The event brought together students and staff, during lunchtime, creating a lively atmosphere filled with the smell of sizzling sausages and the spirit of giving. Not only did the students successfully raise valuable funds, but they also helped spark important conversations around the often-overlooked issue of mental health among men.

This initiative was part of the students’ learning program, giving them the opportunity to build organisational, teamwork, and communication skills while making a real difference in the community.

A huge congratulations to the VCE VM students for their hard work, and thank you to everyone who supported the event—whether by flipping sausages, lending a hand, or simply buying lunch for a good cause. Your support helps break the stigma and encourages open, honest dialogue about mental health.
