Yakult Factory

Year 12 Business Management

On May 19th, our Year 12 Business Management students visited the Yakult factory to gain real-world insight into operations management. 

 

The excursion provided students with a firsthand look at how a large-scale manufacturer like Yakult applies key operational strategies in a practical setting.

 

Students learned about the step-by-step processes involved in producing Yakult, including quality control, automation, and efficiency measures. It was a valuable opportunity to connect classroom theory with industry practice, and to see how concepts such as lean management and just-in-time production work in real time.

 

Of course, no trip to Yakult would be complete without a taste test—students enjoyed sampling the final product straight from the source!
