Old-School Cool: Year 10s and 11s Reimagine Retro TV Shows and Music Videos

Our Year 11 Media students have done a fantastic job on their SAC 2: Media Forms in Production. One standout example came from Amelie, Sienna, Clover, and Holly, who created a Retro TV show intro sequence. Their work showcased a strong understanding of character presentation, audience engagement, and gender representation in media. The group collaborated closely through all stages of production while exploring media in a creative and hands-on way. Their project not only demonstrated technical skill and teamwork but also highlighted how learning can be both meaningful and fun!

The Year 10 Media students have been working on creating music videos for Australian bands. Summer, Xavier, and Athan, produced an outstanding music video for "Frontier Psychiatrist" by The Avalanches. Their creativity and dedication shone through every stage of the project—planning, production, and post-production. Notably, the group went above and beyond by creating their own stop motion animation from scratch, adding a unique and visually engaging element to the video. Their work is a testament to their strong teamwork, technical skills, and imaginative approach to storytelling. Amazing effort all around.
