Prep
Students in Prep have been learning about warm and cool colours. They have also been experimenting with printmaking using paint and a variety of materials.
Level 1
Students in Level 1 have been learning about Triptych art. They created their own Tryptic art inspired pieces that reflected their interests. Students are currently experimenting with clay while creating their own Tic Tac Toe game.
Level 2
Students in Level 2 have been learning about Triptych art as well. Their artworks told a story that included a self portrait, their favourite things and their favourite place. Students are currently learning how to turn 2D art into 3D art through the creation of a Plush toy.
Level 3
Students in Level 3 have been learning about the artist Antoni Gaudi. They have been inspired by his amazing structures and have created their own structure made of clay. Students are currently learning about mosaics and are designing the mosaics for their structure.
Level 3 & 6
Students in Level 3 and 6 have been learning about the Lunar New Year and the way different cultures around the world celebrate. The Level 3 students collaborated to create a horse to celebrate the Lunar new year. The Level 6 students created their own individual horses that reflected the different ways the Lunar New Year is celebrated around the world.
Level 4
Students in Level 4 have been learning about Neurographic Art and how it can be used for mindfulness and wellbeing. Students are currently learning about the artist Rene Magritte and are creating Papier Mache sculptures that have been inspired by his work.
Level 5
Students in Level 5 have been learning about the artist Antoni Gaudi and mosaics. They have learnt about the design process before making a sculpture. Students are currently exploring the materials that they are going to use in their sculpture and designing the mosaic.
Level 6
Students in Level 6 have been learning about lantern festivals around the world. They have also planned and designed their own lantern that will be made of clay. Part of the design process was experimenting with a variety of materials and making changes where necessary.
