Peru Trivia Night
What a Night!!!
Our Trivia and Auction Night was an outstanding success with the Wangaratta community showing up in full support of our students heading to Peru. The room was full and the energy was high and the generosity on display was something special.
This event plays a vital role in supporting our Peru 2026 program where students will travel to work alongside communities in Chincha to help build permanent homes, make traditional adobe bricks with the Ccorccor community and connect with youth programs in Ollantaytambo.
For many students this will be their first experience of international travel and hands-on service. It is an opportunity that will stay with them for life.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated and supported the night. Your contribution is directly helping make this experience possible.
A special shout out to Remel 185 who kept everyone well fed serving over 140 people often more than once. The food was generous hearty and very well received.
Thank you to Garry Nash from Garry Nash Real Estate for expertly running the auction and keeping the room engaged right to the final bid. To Bec Carta who did a fantastic job as our MC bringing energy and humour to the night. And to Heather Lambert who designed and led the trivia with real precision and flair.
Finally, a sincere thank you to the organising committee. This event does not happen without the many hours of planning problem-solving and teamwork behind the scenes. The effort put in over recent weeks was clear in how smoothly the night ran.
The success of this event is a reminder of what this community can do when it comes together.
The journey to Peru is getting closer and the excitement is building. There is still more to come but if this night is anything to go by these students are heading into something truly special.
