Sport: Academy Footballers

Navy Blues - Mia Simpson and Ashton Ryan

 

We’re proud of Year 9 Mia Simpson and Year 8 Ashton Ryan, who represented the Carlton Football Club NGA (Next Generation Academy) girls team in Melbourne on April 14th.

 

They played three matches against Richmond, St Kilda and Western Bulldogs NGA teams, with Mia kicking 4 goals and Ashton adding 1.

 

Both girls were key contributors to our Junior Girls team that finished Hume Region Runner-Up (State Top 16) last year, with Mia also kicking 8 goals in a standout performance. 

 

Mia, now 14, continues to impress after making the V-Line Cup North East Border U15 team last year as a 13-year-old.

 

Ashton, who has just turned 13, comes from a strong footballing family background and is continuing that proud tradition at a high level.
