Sport: Soccer Season Launches

Year 8 Boys Host Home Match

 

29 of our Year 8s played their School Sport Victoria Upper Hume soccer tournament on April 22nd  in Wodonga.

 

Our Boys, coached  by Wangaratta City FC recruit Jamie Leden and Murray United FC star Zak Winn, led the way.

 

The Boys led both pool matches 2-0, but conceded late to finish with a 3-3 draw (Wodonga Middle Years College) and a 2-3 loss (Galen).

 

Top goal scorers -  Junior League Interleague footballers Jake Vincent (3) and Ollie Fisher (2).  Key playmakers - Joah Van Bergen (3 assists), Remy Staley, Jarrad Kane. 

 

Our Girls, coached by Lady Devils Captain Isabelle Christison (AWFA rep) and Angela Keenan, were beaten by Middle Years and eventual champions Catholic College Wodonga. 

 

Player Of The Day - Netball rep and WDCA/Knights rep cricketer Ava Penney. 

Key playmakers - Evie Fisher, Ashton Ryan.
