YEAR 10 ENGLISH POP-UP MUSEUM

Students and staff celebrated the success of student achievements at the English pop-up museum on Monday 8th August. The event was held in the gym and showcased art pieces that were drawn from our study of 'Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia' by Anita Heiss.

This assessment was a new addition to the schedule for 2022 and saw students receive above average marks.  The artworks that Year 10 generated, demonstrated skill and creative flair that students do not ordinarily get to exhibit in English.

JBHS were even fortunate enough to have our Executive Director, Deb Summerhayes, view and commend the works of students at our most recent school visit. Similarly, Ms Bartolillo was incredibly impressed with the commitment and dedication students had shown towards the task and commended the exemplary writing skills that were in play to craft the reflection statements that accompanied art pieces.

The English/LOTE team, as a result, will be sure to continue this assessment task for future Year 10 English students in 2023 and beyond. Well done to all involved!
