Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Term 3 has been a busy, but amazing term where so many of our students have had opportunities to engage with numerous programs, events, and experiences. Many of these will be scattered throughout this newsletter and all reflect the generosity of our staff and the incredible potential of students.

I am in awe of our staff who, despite having to work under the most challenging of conditions at times, have continued to put students at the front of all they do. I am immensely proud to work with these individuals every day.

I am just as proud of our students who display increasing levels of respect, gratitude and support for their peers and staff. Our journey to create a positive school culture is progressing well.

Our school values are increasingly visible in the playground and classrooms. We encourage students to practise:

·       Equality

·       Academic Excellence

·       Respect

·       Safety

We ask you to please give priority to and discuss:

· Arriving at school on time – 8.50 am

· Attending school 90% or more. This is a legal requirement.

· The importance of good choices.

· Being in uniform always.

· Bringing all equipment for learning. This is an increasing concern

· The importance of attending all lessons.

· The right of everyone to be respected.

· The importance of following teacher instructions and expectations.

· Being safe on the playground and in the classroom.

· Being inclusive, kind and caring.

· The importance of always striving for excellence.

 Some reminders:

· Students are not to be on any social media platforms during school hours. This includes on the playground.

· Mobile Phones are to be turned off and placed in bags during class time.  All bags are to be placed in a safe place in classrooms. This will be determined by each teacher.

· Our grounds are NOT supervised before 8.30am. Students who arrive after 8.30am, but before 8.50am can only be in the Main Quad.

· Students in our Support Unit who have special transport may arrive earlier and will be supervised by their teachers.

I thank you for your continuing support and encourage you to work along side us to achieve the very best for your children.

Together we can do so much.
