Wellbeing & Inclusion Report

What a busy couple of weeks it has been at Woodmans Hill Secondary College!

On Wednesday, Jessica Hollands and I had the pleasure of presenting alongside Mackenzie Squires to the Community Bank Buninyong. We outlined our plan and budget to secure funding for the establishment of the Woodmans Hill Secondary College Container Café. We are thrilled to announce that our application was successful! Thanks to this generous support, our shipping container will be relocated to its new home over the coming holidays. This marks a significant milestone, allowing our students to begin the ‘fit-out’ stage of the café, paving the way for the purchase of our coffee machine. We are incredibly grateful to the Buninyong Community Bank for their continued partnership in bringing this exciting vision to life.

Later that evening, I had the privilege of participating in the Information Evening for prospective students at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. These evenings are always a fantastic opportunity to showcase our wonderful school and the amazing opportunities available to students. In preparation for the event, I worked alongside our dedicated college captains—Adele, James, and Wilby—who each spoke passionately about their experiences at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. Their insights and enthusiasm truly highlighted what makes our school community so special. Alongside this, we had a large number of students who volunteered their time to support the active classrooms, showcasing classroom environments to families, this also included our school band who played tirelessly for two hours!

I reflected over the weekend, how amazing our Woodmans Hill Secondary College community is and how our students continue to make us proud time and time again!
