As we wrap up another busy and productive term, I want to take a moment to celebrate the achievements and experiences that have shaped the past few months. Our students have embraced challenges, demonstrated resilience, and engaged in a variety of enriching activities. Here are some of the highlights from this term:
This term, our annual Swimming Sports event was a huge success! Students showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship as they competed in a range of events. It was wonderful to see students cheering for their peers and giving their best effort in the pool. Congratulations to all participants, and a special shoutout to our age group champions. I'm looking forward to seeing similar values and determination next week at our Athletics carnival.
Our Year 11 and 12 students participated in the Elevate study seminars, where they gained valuable skills in time management, exam preparation, and study techniques. These sessions provided practical strategies to help them navigate their academic responsibilities with confidence. I encourage students to continue to embed these skills in their studies throughout the year.
A highlight for our Year 12 students was their themed dress-up day, where they showcased their future aspirations in creative and entertaining ways. It was fantastic to see the effort and imagination that went into their costumes, making for a fun and memorable day.
Our Year 11 students have fully immersed themselves in their Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, gaining hands-on experience and industry knowledge that will support their future career pathways. Their dedication and enthusiasm have been commendable.
The Year 10 students have been hard at work developing and maintaining their garden beds in the VM classes, learning about sustainability, teamwork, and horticulture. Their commitment to this project has resulted in a flourishing and productive garden space.
Preparation for work experience is well underway for our Year 10s. They have been researching potential placements and developing the skills needed to step into a professional environment next term.
Assessment season has been in full swing, with Year 10 students completing their assessments and our senior students undertaking their School-Assessed Coursework (SACs). Their hard work and perseverance are evident, and I commend them for their dedication to their studies.
As we head into the break, I encourage students to take the time to rest, recharge, and reflect on their achievements. While rest is important, I also remind students—particularly our senior cohorts—that incorporating some structured study time will help them stay on top of their learning. A balanced approach will ensure they return next term feeling refreshed and prepared for the challenges ahead.
Enjoy the holidays, and we’ll see you next term!
