Year 11 Report

Patricia Fox

With less than two weeks to go before our well-deserved school holiday and Easter break, it remains a busy time for our Year 11 students. Many are finalizing assessment tasks and coursework while also completing their first term of VET courses.

Term 1 is always a big adjustment, with VCE and VCE:VM bringing new challenges and expectations, including attendance, workload, and assessments. Our Year 11 students have done an amazing job adapting, showing resilience and determination, and I have no doubt they will carry this momentum into Term 2.

One of the best parts of my role as coordinator is walking around during recess and lunchtime, watching students play basketball, hang out with friends in the undercover areas, and even pop into my office for a chat and a laugh. These moments truly make my day.

This term has also seen both the Swimming carnival and the upcoming Athletics sports, and it has been fantastic to see so many Year 11 students getting involved—whether competing, supporting younger students, or dressing up in their house colors. Their enthusiasm and school spirit have been wonderful to witness.

I wish all our Year 11's a safe and restful break and hope they get the chance to recharge, enjoy some downtime, and, most importantly, eat plenty of yummy chocolate! See you all refreshed and ready to take on Term 2.
