This week students are likely finishing up our early units or starting new ones. Our Year 7's will be beginning their first Humanities learning task next week, exploring the liveability of Ballarat.
We have also seen huge engagement in our VCE offerings, with most finishing off their first Area of Study. Last week saw our Year 11 Legal Studies class attend the local magistrates court to observe proceedings and help developing their understanding of the functioning of the courts. They were also lucky enough to have a Q&A with the judge! Our Year 12's will head out this week. As for Politics, our Year 11 & 12 classes are preparing to host the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport & Regional Development, our local member Catherine King. She will be sparing some time for us in Term 2, during the midst of a hard fought Federal election to talk about some of the key issues in our political system.
Our other VCE offerings, Business Studies, History & Work Relation Skills, will see students continuing to develop their academic skills and applying them to the social the world.
