Formal Opening of AngliSchools House

The next ‘BIG’ day on the school calendar is the Formal Opening of AngliSchools House - on Friday, 5 September. This day will have a different timetable for every student and for some it will be a day of rest and relaxation. The school will be closed in the morning for set up. There will be no normal classes on during the day; but selected students will be involved in this important occasion for our school. 

Year 7 and Year 12 students have been asked to attend the formal opening ceremony. 

Arrival 1.15pm. Dismissal 3.30pm. FORMAL UNIFORM REQUIRED

Year 7 and 12 students will need to be at the 441 Murray School Campus to have their attendance checked by their Head of Year at 1.15pm, in full winter uniform with blazers. The idea is that our youngest and oldest students will encircle the VIPs who have been invited to gather for the opening. 

Invited Year 11s will be asked to be part of the event as tour guides for the school, just as they were today for Open Day. These students should confirm their ability to be a tour guide with their Head of Year, Mr Tim Hayward. 

Arrival 1.30PM. Dismissal 4PM. FORMAL UNIFORM REQUIRED

Invited students across all year groups will be contacted directly by their teachers to be part of the showcase for Dance, Drama, Music, Food Technology, Maths and Science lessons that will part of the tour of the building after the formal ceremony. These messages will be sent next week and will include the relevant details being sent to parents. 

Arrival 1.30PM. Dismissal 4PM. FORMAL UNIFORM REQUIRED

Music Students involved in the performance will have rehearsals in the morning. Mrs Taylor will be sending out these details to the students involved. 

The day will finish by approximately 4PM, depending on the length of the formal service and tours.
