Well done on your conduct in the city

Recently I have been excited about receiving some very complimentary feedback from members of the public about the conduct of our students when they are out and about in the city. Given that we are now a much more prominent presence with our regular commuting between the William Street and Murray Street campuses in our ‘Walking the Right Way’, this is even more to celebrate.

For busy people to take time out of their day to provide feedback to the school means that what they saw or heard has made a big impression. I have heard stories about students offering assistance to others, speaking nicely and appropriately to each other on public transport, chasing down someone who has dropped something, and being courteous in businesses to respect the needs of their other customers.

These little things make a big difference, and it is a timely reminder that courteous and mindful behaviour when representing the school in uniform (our blazers REALLY stand out!) is important and appreciated. Simple actions like vacating seats for adults and being respectful of where you are placing school bags on public transport, not blocking exits, and keeping voices to a conversational level when patronising shops and cafes before and after school, are noticed by the wide range of people that we encounter in our day to day lives when we are out and about in the city.

Keep it up! Very well done!
