Y1: Students Bring Learning to Life with 

Game On!

The Year 1 students recently enjoyed an exciting day of creativity, teamwork and problem-solving during the Game On! program by MiniBOSS. The hands-on incursion challenged students to become young entrepreneurs as they designed, built and showcased 

their own arcade games.

Working in small teams, students used their imagination to create game ideas and plan how they would work. They then used a range of materials to bring their ideas to life, testing and improving their designs along the way. The classroom was filled with excitement as students collaborated, shared ideas and solved challenges together.

The highlight of the day was the arcade showcase. Students proudly presented their games and invited their peers to play. It was wonderful to see the creativity and effort that had gone into each design, as well as the confidence students showed when explaining their ideas.

Throughout the program, students developed important skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking and resilience. Most importantly, they discovered that learning can be creative, engaging and lots of fun. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and innovative thinking demonstrated by all of our Year 1 students.
