Primary: Hajj Week

Hajj Week at ICOM was filled with many memorable and engaging activities
throughout the week.
Students from Foundation and Year 1 enjoyed a real Hajj simulation incursion where they learnt about the various Hajj rituals from our dedicated staff. Students had the opportunity to make Tawaf around a Kaaba model, make Sai' and toss wooden beads at a model Jamarat Tower. At the end of the incursion, students were provided with
real Zam-Zam water to drink after making dua.
The year 5 & 6 students had the opportunity to partake in ICOM's first Virtual Reality Hajj incursion. Students were super excited to use the headsets and journey off to Mecca where they learnt various rituals of the Hajj pilgrimage. The incursion provided students
with an almost life-like experience.
Throughout the week during lunch, all students could join in Hajj themed craft activities, followed by special khutbah's after Salah.
Friday was marked with students dressing up in their Islamic attire and enjoying camel rides, followed by a very special production from Secondary students based on the
story of Abraha and Surah Al-Fil.
Overall, the Hajj Week was an opportunity for students to learn such an important
event in a fun and engaging manner.
