Secondary: Meet the Professionals

Our 2026 Meet the Professionals evening brought together Year 12 students and industry professionals from a wide range of fields, offering valuable insight into university pathways, career journeys, leadership, and life beyond school, including perspectives on the cultural transition from school into the professional world.
Held annually, this event is open to all Year 12 students and continues to provide meaningful opportunities to connect with professionals, explore future pathways, and engage
in one-on-one mentoring.
The evening commenced with a keynote address from Brice Hamack, Principal Solicitor at the ACT Government Solicitor in Canberra, who brings extensive experience across Australian and United States law, including work in civil rights, Islamic advocacy, and community legal practice.
This was followed by a panel discussion featuring Dr Amireh Fakhouri, a local General Practitioner with expertise in women’s health, paediatrics, and community healthcare; Mohamed Jamal Eddine, a director specialising in strategy and digital transformation; and Taoufiq Olomowewe, a professional footballer and content creator.
The evening concluded with the Athan and a Hadith reflection delivered by Bakr Alsoudi, a futsal coach and pharmacist with experience in sports coaching and player
development in New Zealand.
Students were given the opportunity to ask questions, engage in meaningful discussion, and build confidence in exploring their future pathways. We extend our sincere thanks to the 36 professionals who generously gave their time to attend, connect, and
contribute to this initiative.
