Nurse's Notes

We are seeing students as young as 5 have low iron, B12 and Vitamin D.
Does your child look pale?
Does your child have dark circles under their eyes?
Does your child have difficulty getting up in the morning?
Does your child not want to study/ do homework and just sleep?
Does your child crave ice or other non-food items?
Highly recommend seeing your GP/ doctor and getting some bloods done
Did you know if a student has low iron etc. at school we can put in for special considerations with their teachers.
This can help with homework, work load, bathroom access, resting in class, for both primary and high school students.
Please chat to a college nurse or email the students blood results to: nurse@icom.vic.edu.au
You are never too young for an iron transfusion, referral to clinics that do it, your GP can arrange- or you can too. The college nurses can recommend clinics to.
What to do if your child vomits or has diarrhoea, and has school within the next 24 hours
