Our shout to say thank you, Year 12 parents

The end of the school journey is almost here for Class of 2026 families as we look ahead to official Valedictory celebrations. Friends of St George's would like to thank our Year 12 parents and guardians for their support, commitment and contribution to the school over the years by inviting them to a pre-ceremony get together. 

Whether you have been part of our community for a few years or many, we would love to raise a glass with you and acknowledge the important role you have played in your child's journey and in the life of our school. If you're dropping your student at St George's Cathedral, the venue is just a short two-minute walk away, making it the perfect place to gather before making your way to the service.

When: Wednesday 21 October 4.45pm. We will conclude at 5.45pm to allow everyone plenty of time to make their way to St George's Cathedral for the 6pm Valedictory Service.

Where: Beer Corner, State Buildings, corner of St Georges Terrace and Barrack St (opposite Petition).

Year 7 & 8 students and Family annual picnic in Kings Park

It is exactly one month until Friends of St George’s hosts the second annual Year 7 & 8 Family Picnic in Kings Park.

Parents, students and siblings are invited to get together on Saturday, 24 October for an afternoon of connection, conversation and community. FOSG has secured exclusive use of Zamia Café, providing the perfect setting for families to unwind and enjoy time together.

Picnic-style food will be provided, and soft drinks will be available for purchase from the venue. Families are also welcome to bring their own picnic treats and beverages. Water and water glasses will be available for everyone.

Whether you are new to the school or a long-standing member of the St George’s School Community, we would love you to join us for this informal and family-friendly event.
